Mohit has more than 10 years of experience as a leading dispute resolution lawyer and negotiator. Clients, especially from the Energy and Infrastructure sectors appreciate his ability to craft bespoke advice. He completed LL.B. (Hons.) from Amity Law School, Delhi in the year 2005 and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade & Business Law from the Indian Society for International Law, New Delhi. He is a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, Delhi Bar Association, INSOL India, Asia Pacific Jurist Association and Young International Arbitration Group and the London Court of International Arbitration.

Mohit has extensive experience in representing domestic and international corporate clients at various courts and tribunals including the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and other state High Courts, Company Law Board, Central Administrative Tribunal, National Green Tribunal, Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal etc. in matters involving questions of corporate and commercial laws, real-estate, regulatory, infrastructure and intellectual property, information technology and data security, income tax and service tax laws, education, law relating to disabilities, service law and competition law.

Being a vociferous litigator, Mohit is widely sought after and represents leading national and multinational clients from varied sectors on contentious and non-contentious matters involving media, in-film branding and advertising contracts, on labour and service related compliances and disputes, on issues involving direct and indirect taxation, and criminal matters involving financial frauds and misappropriations.

Mohit regularly advises and represents clients in arbitrations, pre and post arbitration related court hearings including Section 9, 34 and 37 petitions and also execution of foreign awards before domestic courts. A highly skilled and sought after negotiator, he has developed expertise in domestic and international commercial arbitrations especially in energy, real estate and commercial disputes.

Mohit is widely appreciated for rendering holistic advice to his clients, especially in the clean energy sector. He is highly proficient in preparing extensive documentation required in hydro, solar and wind energy projects – right from the stage of bidding until the commissioning of the project. His expertise encompasses advice on all intricacies and complexities of projects including tax planning and structuring, infusion of funds, regular interaction with regulators, drafting shareholders’ agreements and share purchase agreements and all documents required towards sale of the electricity units to the government and/or private sector.
